Teams Panels - check-in issues
Hey, anyone experience issues with Teams Panels check-in feature?
We have seen that the "Check-In" button on the panel is there but suddenly is dissapears. When that happens the rooms is not released and the email "Booking declined: No one checked in, so the room was automatically removed from your meeting to make it available for others." is never sent to the organizer.

We are still having this problem and our panels are currently on latest version 1449/1.0.97.2024122401.
We are sending Teams meeting invitations to meeting room accounts with pro licenses, and we are using Teams panels from Crestron.
Some how all meetings are automatically check-in where the release function is not working and there is no Check-in button/ function at all.
We checked:
- The room is not listed as the organiser (but as resource(room)-accepted)
- Room was invited before meeting started
- It's a Teams meeting with online Teams link
- Firmware is updated
- Configuration profile has " release room if no one checks in " - ON
Is there already a solution or workaround to this issue?

I hope that MSFT will fix this bug soon. We get daily complaints from our users on this unexplainable behaviour.
Did you check that the location ALSO contains the default 'Microsoft Teams' location, in addition to the room resource? (which effectively makes it a hybrid meeting, as seen from the end-user perspective)
For us, this additional item made the no-show functionality more reproduceable.

Some additional info in MC

"Note: Auto-release and check in does not currently support or automatically release the room for in-person meetings and non-Teams online meetings such as Zoom or Webex. These features will come soon." - marcel_imCopper Contributor
We are having the same issue with our Yealink roompanels (= check-in only works when the meeting is a Teams meeting, not with a physical-only meeting). Did you find any solution to this problem?

marcel_imWell it's seems ms is sure about how the design should be my ticket is still open and they have updated this site https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/devices/check-in-and-auto-release
Question: Are there any times when a user would be automatically checked in?
Answer: Yes, there are. At this time, the user will be automatically checked in if the room is the organizer of the meeting, the room was invited after the meeting start time, it's a 3P meeting such as Zoom meeting, or it's an in-person meeting as in there is no online Teams link. We'll be requiring check-in for 3P and in-person meetings in the future.
it's quite confusing and my guess is that places might give some answers in the future how this should work

Markus_Johansson, We are experiencing the same issue in our Teams Rooms with the Logitech panels. We first noticed the problem this week (September 23, 2024), although everything was functioning properly before. We would appreciate any solutions or additional guidance from Microsoft on this matter.
- Markus_JohanssonSteel ContributorWe have seen it for a few months and raised a ticket with ms support without any success 😞
Please upvote this if you also have the need to be able to use check-in feature without a teams meeting
https://feedbackportal.microsoft.com/feedback/idea/17a7f1db-ce7b-ef11-a4e6-000d3a02a3a1- maxroqueCopper ContributorThere is nothing outlined in this article that specifies that the meeting must be a Teams Meeting: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/devices/check-in-and-auto-release
This seems to be a bug that was recently introduced.
