Recording Meetings

Dear all

we have teams for education and we have many problems now:

- is there a way that users can prevent (in their own settings) recording their camera/mic in a Teams Meeting?

- can i set a policy for teams to a group of users? i.e. that they are not allowed to chat. i set up a policy but i cannot apply this to a group of students.  Only single users.

- can a "attendees" of a meeting record the meeting?

- can I set up for Team Meetings that all members get the lowest right as an "attendees" - if presentets don't know the difference students have to much rights.

Thanks for your help!!

Currently not available. If you think your students should not have the capability to record meeting, you can request your admin to disable meeting record capability for your students. This will prevent them from recording any meeting. https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftteams/cloud-recording

[GMR] Go to the Team (Class) -> Channel (General) -> Click the … next to channel -> Manage Channel -> Permissions -> Select Only owner can post messages… You may have to do it for all the Channels within the Team.

    - can a "attendees" of a meeting record the meeting?

[GMR] Yes. If the Teams Administrator do allows the user to record meeting he/she will be able to record any meeting the user joins either as owner or attendee.

    - can I set up for Team Meetings that all members get the lowest right as an "attendees" - if presentets don't know the difference students have to much rights.
