Message to group of people
In Teams, you can send a message to multiple people by clicking the add people button in a chat.
Is there any way to send a message to a predefined set of people (possibly an Office 365 group or similar)?
In other words, say we have 5 people in HR and someone wants to ask a question - on Teams - for anyone in HR to answer. From what I am aware there are two ways of accomplishing it;
- Sending it on the HR public channel (obviously not always suitable)
- Adding all 5 people to the chat and then sending the message
While the second option may work, it is not suitable when you have bigger groups and/or when the user sending this message may not necessarily know whom to direct the message to.
What I am looking for is for a simple, one email address, HRTeams@company, which when you send a Teams message to this address, all 5 members are getting it in the same manner as if they would actually create a group and send it to these 5 people as a group chat.
Any way to accomplish this?
