It doesn't look like this in on the road map to be fixed, I spoke with a support member on another thread, and they said it is a "migration limitation", so doesn't look like it even on their radar. The only fix is to create new group chats, and delete existing one-to-one chats and create a new one, which unfortunately means losing some historical chats.
Another hack to create a one-to-one chat with an existing skype migrated chat is to create a group chat with 2 contacts and delete the unwanted contacts, this will effectively make a new one-to-one without needing to delete the migrated skype chat. - TonymanVCopper Contributor
Bumping the thread like is 2005

Why has this been marked as solved, when it's no solution has been suggested. This is still not working

Hi, I'm experiencing the same issue. The "Forward" button doesn't appear in the menu when using an account migrated from Skype. However, when I use a newly created Teams account, the "Forward" option is available. Could you please investigate this and provide a fix soon?

I couldn't agree with you more - I've been using Skype for the last 10 years, and it worked perfectly. Now Microsoft decides they are retiring Skype, and they don't give us an app with the same functionality.

I am also unable to forward any messages, the option doesn't show in the menu. Also I am unable to see who has read my messages, even when everyone has Read Receipts turned on. This happens on both the desktop app and browser version. This only seems to be related to users who have migrated from Skype, I've tested with a new account and the issue doesn't occur. I've opened a support case but not had a reply after chasing for weeks

The problem is that many users are migrating from Skype, and you obviously want to have all your old chats, so we don't want to open new accounts to get it to work. If you do get a reply on the support case, please let me know, because it is extremely frustrating.
Hello, which type of message can't you forward? Thanks for the clarification

Andres are you still here? it has been a month and this crap of software gets worse and worse and worse, like I would not blame you for hiding from this threat or worse if you work for MS i would be doing the same thing, hiding in the bathroom like every home depot worker

what part of none is hard to comprehend? 2025 and microsucks cannot even do a normal account migration and still cannot even tag everybody in a chat. Fix your horrible problems you have the money and resources
