Cannot show stream in PowerPoint in a teams meeting
I have uploaded video in stream. These are stored in my OneDrive. When I insert the video into powerpoint, and play it in a team's meeting, only those who have access to the video will be able to see the video. I also cannot use stream video for powerpoint if I have external meetings. This must be wrong? It's not about sharing a file, but about viewing it in a team meeting? So do you have to upload films to YouTube to be sure that we can use them in PowerPoint and are having a teams video meeting?

The inserting a Stream link into a deck follows the permission of the video file itself not the permission of the deck. So you do need to make sure the permission match the audience.
If you upload the video file itself into the deck not a link then PowerPoint Live can control the permission of the whole deck to the meeting attendees.
We are aware that when presenting a deck with a stream link the desired result is that everyone on the call sees the video even external people the same way if you just screen shared.
It’s a very complicated problem to solve and so far we’ve not been able to come up with an acceptable and performant solution.

So what happen if I have a meeting ... with external and go directly into stream and share the video. Not linking it into PowerPoint - will I have the same problem?- Marc MrozI don’t quite understand your last question. How would you be sharing the video into the meeting? Screen sharing? Or do you mean sending the external people a link for them to watch on their own outside the meeting? If the later then videos have the same link capabilities as other files. You share a link with guests or via anyone link, but your organization has to have those enabled and allowed.
