Sorting data

hi all, I was hoping someone could help me

i am wanting to sort rows by a certain cell value

for example we have the following

12/4*31  next cell 13/4*28 next cell 10/4*26

the 12/4 is the date and that’s what I would like to sort by so they are in order. I can’t change anything in regards to cell input as I would need to try and explain to about 100 different staff.

the *31 is just a different place of work they were at for that day.

if I could put a date picker into that cell and also a number value  and or text  that would be better also.
