I need help signing into my windows 10 computer

I just want to start off by saying that I recently tried to reboot my computer in safe mode as I read it's supposed to make my computer run more efficiently. the problem is it's not letting me log in.  my pin code isn't there anymore and the password I used isn't working.  the thing is when I log into my micro account through my phone, it works but not on my computer.  if someone could provide me some help, it would be appreciated. I really don't want to get a new computer.
