Receive the message “Microsoft Bookings is not activated for you” despite E1 license

Hello,

We work with the E1 license (school). According to the MS page https://learn.microsoft.com/de-de/microsoft-365/bookings/bookings-overview?view=o365-worldwide the license for Bookings is included.

Since it is not displayed, I would like to activate it via the M365 Admin Center --> Settings --> Organization settings--> Services (according to the support article in the Admin Center). However, the service is not listed.

Why is the service not listed?

Thanks for your help

If you're receiving the message “Microsoft Bookings is not activated for you” despite having an E1 license, here are a few steps to resolve the issue:

    1. Check if Microsoft Bookings is included in the E1 license

    • Microsoft Bookings is not included in all E1 plans. It is typically available in Microsoft 365 Business Standard or Office 365 A3/A5/E3/E5 plans. Confirm if your specific E1 license includes Bookings.

    2. Verify Admin Settings

    • Ask your Microsoft 365 admin to ensure that the Microsoft Bookings app is enabled for your account.
      • Go to Admin Center > Users > Active Users.
      • Find your user profile, click Licenses and Apps, and check if Microsoft Bookings is toggled on.

    3. Enable Bookings for the Organization

    • Ensure Bookings is enabled for the entire organization:
      • Go to Admin Center > Settings > Org Settings > Services.
      • Locate Microsoft Bookings and make sure it is turned on.

    4. Check Region Availability

    • Microsoft Bookings may not be available in certain regions. Confirm its availability in your country/region.

    5. Clear Cache and Try Again

    • If all settings are correct, clear your browser cache or try accessing Bookings from a different browser.

    6. Contact Microsoft Support

    • If the issue persists, contact Microsoft Support for further assistance, as there could be a configuration issue with your account or tenant.
