Personal Bookings Page VS Shared Bookings page

I am not sure which one of the two is better to add to my website, but I like the Shared booking page. I want customers to be about to click book appointment from my website and have access to my available appointment times.  The only issue I am having with the shared bookings page is that when I click New booking within the Bookings app and select myself as the staff member, the system allows me to book over time that I have blocked on my calendar such as lunch.  It does not allow this if I go into the customer site using the link.  Is there any way to prevent this or will have to all ways check my calendar first.  I also think it will allow me to book over an existing appointment.  

I am not sure I understand the point of the New booking button if it allows me to book over blocks and existing appointments.  Any help or feedback is appreciated.
