Need to overrule existing meetings in the calendar

My team would like Microsoft Bookings to overrule already existing meetings in the calendar, so that more available timeslots show in the booking page for potential participants. I realise the need is deviating normal use. However, is that possible? if so, where can we find this option? as for us researchers it's the highest priority over any other meetings in our calendar.for example I would be available all day, however due to existing meetings nobody can book outside the hours that are shown
