Bookings - Require Standard Phone Number Format

Is there a way to require a standard phone number format for customers using a self-service page in Bookings? From all I have seen in our environment (E3), you can require customers to populate the field, but there is no way to require a country/area code. You can actually enter any amount of numbers and the field will accept it. The Microsoft documentation at the following link shows an example page with this capability but I have not been lucky in finding it to enable for our customers. https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/bookings/customize-booking-page?view=o365-worldwide

  • Hi mshiccups

Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community.

As per design Microsoft Bookings, a scheduling and appointment management tool, does not have a built-in feature to enforce a specific phone number format or require a country/area code for customer phone numbers on the self-service page.

    Please follow the bellow steps.

    1. The phone number is from US and Canada region only.
    2. Also, if possible, do provide the phone number (along with country code) on which notifications are not being received.
    3. Sending SMS from the c1 flow is not supported, can you ask the customer to try booking appointment from the c2 page (published booking page). Also keep in mind that the staff has Teams premium license and also the service should have SMS enabled.
