Students can't type in Class Notebook

I have set up a class notebook.  Several students can access the pages I have distributed but cannot type on them.  Some are on laptop, some are on the OneNote app.  The ones on the laptop double-click but the text box does not appear as it does for me.  I've not changed the permissions from the standard.  Does anyone have a fix?
