Excel blank screen / unresponsive when authenticating sharepoint online data source
I'm having this strange issue when I attempt to use power query to consume a sharepoint online resource.
When I get to the authentication window, I select Microsoft Account and a window opens up with a blank screen and is unresponsive. Cannot close or minimize and I'm forced to kill Excel.
Exact steps:
1. Data ribbon -> Get Data ->From Online Services -> Sharepoint Online List
2. Enter site url (ex: https://buncombecountync.sharepoint.com/s
3. Click Ok
4. Select Microsoft account
5. Click Sign in
At this point, a window opens with a blank screen.
I've successfully done this with a previous version and it usually shows me the Microsoft single sign on web page to authenticate.
Has anyone seen this before?
Windows 10 Enterprise 1709 build 16299.1268
Excel for Office 365 ProPlus 1907 build 11901.20218
Thanks,
Alex

Not sure if people still have same issues, but like Harsha has said above, its the Logi keyboard and mouse app that causes this issue. Just uninstalled the logitech app and it started working fine.

I see no one posted a solution for this. I spent like last 9 hours to fix this. I tried all these:
- Reinstalling office
- Updating office to latest version
- Removing all credentials from Windows Credentials
- Adding below sites to Trusted Sites under IE options (with and without "Require Server verification (https:) for all sites in this zone":
https://*microsoftonline.com
https://*sharepoint.com
https://*windows.net - Reset IE settings.
Even then there was no fix. Lastly I tried running excel in safe mode and tried it and it worked! So now I figured I have a add-on which is causing issue. I simply disabled all add-on, restarted excel and I could login.
Edit: The add in which gave trouble was "logioptionsexceladdin". This is used by Logitech MX Master 3 mouse
- Joe ColvileCopper ContributorThis was a big help. I have the exact same mouse and had the exact same issue. Thanks!
- JeapsterCopper ContributorOh god yes - its driving me bonkers- anyone know how to fix this?
- JeapsterCopper ContributorI’ve found a workaround! I uninstalled office 365 x86 and installed office 365 x64. It now works perfectly! I think the issue was caused by the mashup shared components being a mix of 32bit for office and 64bit for power BI!

alurpal i have been going back in forth to the query editor, clearing the global permission and i still get the same issue. I think this problem causes another issue - exception of type 'Microsoft.Mashup.Engine.Interface.ResourceAccessForbiddenException' was thrown.
