Desktop App for Planner?
There only appears to be a web version? Is there an app for a desktop on PC and/or Mac?
- Not currently,
There is a uservoice for it here
https://planner.uservoice.com/forums/330525-microsoft-planner-feedback-forum/suggestions/34471954-desktop-application
Would recommend you vote on it to push it up the agenda. Voting for the uservoice will also notify you if it has been picked up by Microsoft. I would also keep an eye out on this tech community for Planner AMA's where you can also raise this with the product team. There is a big appretite to push Planner forward so hopefully, we'll see something in the future
Hope that answers your question
Best, Chris

ColinFBMH you can import your planner tasks into Teams (Team > + > Add Planner Tasks), and use it from it's desktop app.
Take care

This doesn't allow you to search through planner though, unfortunately.

Correct, although either does the web version. Even in the app version (or more specifically the iOS version), the search function only searches for Plans and does not go any deeper such as searching for tasks or anything other than plan names.
(A true search function could be useful)

ColinFBMH you should try this help before Microsoft has an official app:

ColinFBMH If you open the webapp in Edge (or Chrome) and create an app of the website (in Chrome also choose open in Window), it looks like a desktop application (but in fact still is a webapp). for more info: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoftedge/forum/all/creating-web-apps-in-microsoft-edge/bcc02ba3-9fbc-4f3f-b854-741b792f6e9b

Neale_C I had been using this PWA setup for a long time, but something changed in a recent update. I no longer have the app option, and when I click the existing Windows quick launch button it just opens a blank browser window now. I'm guessing Microsoft grew tired of folks using this handy workaround! Very disappointing.

ColinFBMH Use Fluid.app and add it to your apps folder

This UserVoice instance is no longer available.

I'm getting a "This UserVoice instance is no longer available" message. Was the desktop app made or did the uservoice just get deleted?
- THEMRJAZZMAN-2k23Copper ContributorUservoice is now closed 😞
