XLAM load error with KB 5002653

Hello,

 

Since applied KB 5002653, My .XLAM macros are no longer loaded by Excel 2016 at startup from the Addins folder (Fine with Excel 2021).

The first character of the macro files that Excel try to load is truncated (first char is missing).

Everything is fine if I uninstall KB5002653. 

Is it a know issue  with the November Update ?

    We are experiencing the exact same issue.
    The displayed error shows the .xla(m) path with the first character removed.

    We are having the same problem as well with several 3rd party add-ins.  
    Very poor testing on updates again Microsoft..please allow us to remove this patch, or hotfix it tonight

    Yes, this has broken all our data export from our ERP to excel. Able to manually uninstall from win10 machines but all win11 machines dont show this kb as a removable package, and while we are on  it, whos nonsense idea was it to move View installed Updates out of the cpanel Programs and Features and make it so you cant elevate the crappy Settings window that it was put in.
