=SEARCH does not search all words in Name Box
I'm trying to automatically categorize my bank transfers with use of this tutorial. Unfortunately, I already get stuck at the =SEARCH formula.
The following is my name boxes:
Zalando | Kleren |
Sports Art | Vast |
Thuisbezorgd | Eten |
NS | Reizen |
Where the left column is specified as "Keywords" and the right column as "Categories". The following is the data I'm entering:
{=SEARCH(Keywords;B1)} | NS |
Where I entered the left cell with CTRL+SHIFT+ENTER (for array formulas). When I try to show Calculation steps, Excel only searches for the very first keyword of the first table, namely Zalando, even though NS is also in name box Keywords. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong, could any of you provide help?
Hi Thomas,
In single cell for the formula which returns an array you'll see only first element of that array. To return entire array first select the number of empty cells which is equal to the length of your keyword list and when enter the array formula in formula bar, like this
