Power Query refresh order
How does Power Query handle the refresh order?
Do I need to rename all queries in the order I need? i.e. A1_Query1; A2_Query2; A3_Query1+2Merged... and so on?
- Hi
Power Query will refresh in the order it needs to (generally evaluating from the last step to the first). So the Merged Query will be looked at and in order to be completed it must go and refresh from the 2 feeder queries first. This all happens automatically, you don't need to re-order any steps
In other words the refresh order is handled for you, the order you present the queries in the query pane has no impact.
