Excel color-coding conditional formatting interuption

If you click on it you'll have exactly the same rule applied to the same range which you may edit. Option exists not for all versions of Excel.
If you copy/paste the range in general applied formatting also shall be pasted. If not you may select source range, right click and double click on Format Painter icon
Brush icon will appear near mouse pointer. Click on the first cell of destination range, format will be applied. Press Esc to exit from Format Painter mode.
Did you try to apply formatting with Format Painter?
Duplicate Rule is relatively new functionality, but it's simply duplicate existing rule as it is, after that you may edit it.
Thanks for your response. I did not try format painter & wouldn't even know how to begin using that?Also, I could never find the option to duplicate the pre-existing rules in the worksheet. I can only find where they are applied and where they aren't in "Manage Rules" - no option to duplicate existing rules in (create) New Rule either(?) SergeiBaklan
