Add a textbox option in Microsoft edge pdf viewer
Hey insiders!! Wouldn't it be great if Microsoft edge pdf viewer would have the option to add a text box feature.
There's a pen feature but the writing doesn't go smooth unless you have any stylus. If I want to add notes or any writings over a pdf, it doesn't go quite well with the pen feature.

Hello, this feature is now available in the dev channel. You have an option to add a text box. Please see https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/articles/add-text-to-your-pdf-documents/m-p/2752561
- David1315Copper ContributorThis feature would be great. My son is visually impaired and we have found that getting homework provided as a PDF allows us to zoom in to read and draw answers with Edge. However, it is a pain when answers need to be in sentence form. Allowing an option create a text box and type with solve that problem.
Needs a new thread probably but adding hot keys to switch to pen, eraser, and the new text box would be helpful. - Tio_DepSteel Contributor
- dftf-wipIron ContributorThis is adding a comment to the PDF -- the user is saying they'd like an option to place a text-box on the page, and then type something, so that text then appears as a regular part of the file. Currently they have to "draw" handwriting using their mouse. I wish the Edge team could add a text-box option to the "Send Feedback" tool, too, as this currently has the same issue -- they assume everyone is on a touch device!
