Why replies are moderated even for the edit?
I can understand new post should be approved to combat the spam. Why reply even edit needs approval? Never seen this before and this will push active user away from tech community.

I understand your pain here and it's always a balancing act between ensuring users can contribute vs protecting the community from spam posts.
In this instance though, if you didn't moderate for edits all a spammer would have to do is post a legitimate looking post and then once approved edit it.
The only comfort I can offer you is we approve new posts quickly and that if you continue to contribute, there becomes a rank where you do not have to get your post reviewed to post it.
