Introducing Microsoft Business Intelligence Specialization, new specialization option for Power BI

Microsoft announced a new specialization option for Power BI capabilities – Business Intelligence.

 

Aligned to the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program, specializations are a way for partners to further differentiate their deep technical expertise across a set of priority scenarios with high customer demand. They build upon Solutions Partner designations and other certifications to set you apart from the competition and empower customers to confidently identify your ability to deliver results.

 

Partners with the Business Intelligence specialization further differentiate their organization beyond an active Solutions Partner for Data & AI (Azure) or Solutions Partner for Business Applications designation with demonstrated knowledge, validated experience and capabilities, and documented success in supporting customer adoption of Business Intelligent solutions. 

 

Confirm your ability to help customers get the most out of their data and implement enterprise BI solutions with Power BI interactive reports, real-time dashboards, and powerful analytics.

 

Specialization benefits:

  • Exclusive go-to-market programs and product benefits. See the latest details in the Solutions Partner Benefits Guide. See below for examples of how you can stack your benefits.
    • Common benefits as part of the Microsoft Cloud Partner Program
      • Marketing / go-to-market benefits: partner GTM toolbox, DMC OnDemand, ready-to-go PMC assets, and more
      • Support and advisory / technical benefits: technical presales and deployment services, how to market with Microsoft Consultants, profile optimization and referral management

    With a starting MAU of 1000 for Power BI Users, many smaller partners like us will have a tough time obtaining that specialisation. Especially when many of our customers buy their licenses from their preferred licensing partner but engage us for BI work.
