Issue: Accessing Business Account on Bing Places for Business
I am having the same issue. Same message. Signed in with another email address. Sent verification code by mail and the verification code button seems to be broken. Help chat makes you wait for an hour and when you reach number one in line, it stays that way for another hour, or more, depending on how long you want to wait.
I have had issues with Bing since Ai superimposed a generated description of my business which actually described someone else's business onto my Google Places page. I tracked it down to Bing Maps and the same Ai description was attached to an old address I used over 8 years ago. That caused 3 addresses for my business showing up in search. Of course I wasn't able to access the very old address and over the course of 3 months got a return message of "we are experiencing a higher wait time than usual" when creating a support e-mail.
It doesn't stop there. My Google Places page was suspended for using a P.O. Box which I have used for over 10 years. It is important that I am able to change the P.O. Box to my real address to get my Places page back but it appears that the issue is the Bing Sync feature. I am unable to reach the old Bing account which still publishes the P.O. Box address. The new sign in on Bing won't accept the verification code it sent me....and it hasn't sent a verification code to the P.O. Box at all at the new Bing account! I did read that the Sync feature for Google won't be available for quite sometime on Bing but Google says that they are updating maps and my case is in progress.
Where does this leave me? Hours and hours of my time torn apart by Ai generated results making me look incompetent, stupid, irresponsible, and deceptive.
I have been in business for over 13 years at the location I am at. P.O. Boxes were always allowed on business listings. Maybe I missed the memo about new policy procedures, however, I can clearly see that when Google and Bing adopted Ai into their search engines, all of my SEO efforts took a nose dive.
If anyone can give insight into this new Bing experience, please do.
