Saving Log files Programmatically

We download usage logs from Purview quarterly for some custom reporting. New requirements are to have the data more frequently so we want to automate this, and I'm struggling to find the best way.

I was looking at help for using PowerShell  to export to csv, but that is only available in the Exchange Online cmdlets.

Can anyone point to any examples of automation for downloading these logs that could be run on a local workstation?
