Azure Service: CosmosDB |
General Availability
Azure Data Explorer (ADX) supports managed ingestion from Azure Cosmos DB since January 2023 in public preview.
We are excited to announce it is now generally available!
This feature enables near real time analytics on Cosmos DB data, in a managed setting (ADX data connection). Since ADX supports Power BI direct query, it enables near real time Power BI reporting. Latency between Cosmos DB and ADX can be as low as sub seconds (using streaming ingestion).
This brings the best of both worlds: fast / low latency transactional workload with Azure Cosmos DB and fast / ad hoc analytical with Azure Data Explorer.

Azure Service: Data Explorer |
General Availability
Azure Data Explorer has added a new feature to its data mappings capabilities called "DropMappedField". This feature allows you to map an object in a JSON document to a column and removes any nested fields already referenced by other column mappings. This means that you can easily extract the information you need from your JSON documents and organize it into columns for easy analysis. This capability is also part of Real-Time Analytics in Microsoft Fabric.

Preview Features
Network observability is an important part of maintaining a healthy and performant Kubernetes cluster. By collecting and analyzing data about network traffic, AKS customers can gain insights into how your cluster operate and can identify potential problems before they cause outages or performance degradation. And to enable network observability we have built a network observability add-on plugin that will scrape useful metrics form Kubernetes workloads and emit actionable networking observability data into industry standard Prometheus format, which can then be visualized in Grafana. There are two options available for using Prometheus and Grafana in this context: Azure Managed Prometheus and Grafana or BYO Prometheus and Grafana.
Key customer benefits:
Get access to node-level network metrics like packet drops, connections stats and more. Support for all Azure CNIs - AzureCNI and AzureCNI (Powered by Cilium) Support for all AKS node types - Linux and Windows Easy deployment using native Azure tools - AKS CLI, ARM templates, PowerShell, etc. Seamless integration with the Azure managed Prometheus and Azure-managed Grafana offerings.

Azure Service: Storage |
|
Preview Features
As we work towards the general availability of Azure Elastic SAN (currently in preview), several improvements have been made to the service. These include expanded regional availability, simplified multi-session connectivity for optimized volume performance, and native integration with Azure Container Storage (in preview). Azure Container Storage leverages Azure Elastic SAN as the backing storage resource to optimize your price versus performance through dynamic resource sharing.
We have also made it easier to migrate to Azure Elastic SAN and other block storage offerings like Premium SSD V2 and Ultra Disk, by including them in the Storage Migration Program. As part of this program, you will have access to the Azure-sponsored offerings from our migration partner, Cirrus Data Solutions , available in the Azure Marketplace.
