Focus zones
Two of my customers have a concept of 'focus zones', where on specific days, certain hours are considered 'detailed work zones'. Ideally, they would like to be able to report better on these zones by having, for example, the ability to report on focus & fragmented hours during these time periods. We already have certain metrics available (calls, meetings, mails, etc), but would like to add general collaboration hours, fragmented hours and focus hours between those timeframes.Viva Insights integration with Qualtrics/Workday/Glint
Our customers have shared with us that they’d like to generate new organizational insights by combining Viva Insights data with Human Resources and engagement survey data. We're exploring ways to make this easier, building on our integration we released with survey partner Qualtrics. As part of that exploration, we’d like to hear from you on how you're likely to use this data and how we can help. We're inviting you to join us in a limited pilot where we'd join these data sets to explore scenarios like: Reducing regrettable attrition: join HR data on who is leaving the company with Viva Insights metrics on behaviors that could be causing it, such as low manager 1:1 time, low focus time, high after hours collaboration time, etc. Improving diversity and inclusion: join HR data on different demographics with metrics related to inclusion, such as influence score, network size, time with skip level manager, etc. Improving engagement and reducing burnout: join survey data on employee engagement and burnout with metrics on behaviors that can reduce worker satisfaction, such as high after-hours collaboration, long workweek span, low focus time, etc. Improving manager effectiveness: join survey data on employee satisfaction with coaching from their manager with metrics on related behaviors, such as meeting hours with skip level manager, meeting hours with manager, 1:1 meeting hours with manager, etc. Peer analysis: join HR data on top performers with metrics on common work behaviors to set goals for those wanting to be top performers Other scenarios you may have in mind (suggestions welcome) To join, you will need to be using the following: Microsoft Viva Insights (formerly known as Workplace Analytics) One or all of the following: Workday for HR data Qualtrics for survey data Glint Employee Engagement Surveys If you are willing to provide some feedback, please fill out the information in the survey here: link to survey.Meeting query: hybrid options
My customer wants to track if the return to worksite process is leaving the remote workers out of the communications loop. One way to avoid that is offering double presence options for meeting participants by the organizer: physical room and Teams link. We can check the meeting Resources column to know if a meeting has the physical space component but there is no way to check if there was a Teams link (or any other video call link) attached. A related boolean column in the Meeting Custom Query would resolve this problem.Viva Insights: Enhance your motivation and productivity with Focus mode
We’re recruiting volunteers in our early feedback program for the upcoming feature of focus mode in Teams. Focus mode will enrich the focus time experience by helping users make progress on important work, with focus music from Headspace. Users can enroll in a focus plan to automatically book focus time each day through the Viva Insights Teams app. As a user’s scheduled focus time nears, a notification to enter a new focus mode page will appear in the Viva Insights app. The feature will be available for organizations that currently have the Viva Insights Teams app and a MyAnalytics service plan enabled for their organization. Viva Insights is focused on collaboration metrics but for employee burnout risks this should also include documents worked on, OneDrive & SharePoint data (this is captured in Viva Insights Personal - MyAnalytics). If i am working on documents outside normal working hours (without collaborating) this will still have an impact on my risk of burnout.
