Data File cannot be configured SkypeForBusiness/Outlook
Anyone else seeing this? I'm getting error message ... Your Outlook Data file cannot be configured. c:users\p.....\AppData\local\Microsoft\outlook\p....r.nst. This started right after the upgrade to Office 365 ProPlus, Insider Slow 1705 8201.2025, on 5/24. This occurs when ... Skype For Business is running. Outlook on the desktop is not running. As soon as I launch Office on the desktop (and keep it running), the errors stop. When outlook is stopped, the errors start again. The errors occur about every 1 minute or less.PBeiler1May 26, 2017Steel Contributor16KViews6likes34CommentsDelays when trying to answer an incoming call cloudpbx
I'm having multiple reports of multiple sites/tenants having an strange issue with trying to answer a call. When they get an incomming call, this can be direct or call queue transfer, there is a delay when they try picking up the call. I.E. I get an incomming call. I get a new Skype for business notification. I click on that notification to answer the call and there is a long delay and the call never establishes. This is happening for different users, different sites as well as for different tenants. All users are using Cloudpbx. Personally I have not been able to catch this in action yet. Without purchasing expressroute for these sites, what are my options to speed up this pickup time? What could be the cause of these type of delays? Does the notification of a new call come in on a different port or does it follow the normal sip ports. -I know audio and video data comes in on completely different ports. (In the 50000 range) Has anyone else ran into this yet? One customer is using Polycom bToe setup and the other is using softphones.Chad RoweSep 27, 2017Brass Contributor14KViews0likes26CommentsUpdate KB4464547 Crashes Skype at Login
The update KB4464547 causes Skype for Business to crash. Uninstalling the update, reverts Skype back to working order. The comment here seems to indicate there's a fault in mshtml.dll https://guybachar.net/2019/05/07/microsoft-releases-may-7-2019-update-for-skype-for-business-2015-lync-2013-kb4464547/oiversonMay 20, 2019Brass Contributor18KViews1like20CommentsiPhone rings when receiving an attachment on Skype
Hi, A strange one which I can't find any info on when doing a Google search..... I'm a user of Skype For Business(SFB). All was working well until around 2 weeks ago. When a colleague sends me any form of attachment via SFB, SFB on my iPhone then starts ringing. It shows on my iPhone that the person who's trying to send an attachment is trying to call me. If i try to answer the call it sits on connecting and doesn't do anything which i guess is expected as the colleague never initiated a phone call. The attachments sent are received fine on my laptop. On my laptop i'm using O365 SFB. V 16.0.13231.20372 iPhone XR - SFB V 6.27.0.1 Thanks, NickNickChesterNov 18, 2020Copper Contributor6.4KViews1like17Commentsmicrophone not working on Skype For Business for Mac
Hi, I need urgent support in relation to the following problem: Mac Book Pro macOS Catalina 10.15.4 does not detect microphone for calls with Skype for business. In the system preferences, the checkbox for Skype for business does not appear under the microphone (it appears for the camera that works regularly). Please let me know how to solve the problem...ThanksSolvedCiarlino82Apr 18, 2020Copper Contributor41KViews3likes17CommentsCall Queue Time in Seconds not Minutes
Enhancement Suggestion: I think it would be better to have the call queue caller wait time be editable in seconds, not minutes. Currently, as minutes, the least amount of time that can be selected is 1 minute. This is too long for some customers. Please change to have call queue wait time in seconds.Ken KellyJul 25, 2017Copper Contributor4.6KViews6likes16CommentsOdd Issue with Response Groups and Calls Transfered to RG Causes S4B to Crash on Computer
We are using Response Groups in a lot of areas for our work. We had it reported to us that in one popular area where a lot of calls come in from other campus phones that once the call is transferred, the Skype for Business client on the computer crashes. The call continues directly on the phone (Polycom VVX 310), but the Skype client on the computer crashes. After learning about this issue, I put myself and a few others in a test Response Group so we could test. We were able to duplicate the issue. We applied some Windows updates which then corrected the issue, but with the latest updates from Microsoft, the issue is back. Curious if anyone else has seen this issue and has a solution. Again, the scenario that causes the issue. Caller X calls Caller Y (Y is campus phone), caller Y transfers to Caller R (response group) to say who they are transferring, Caller Y transfers the call (consultative transfer), Caller R has their Skype for Business app crash on their computer. The call continues, but Caller R has to start up the Skype for Business program again on their computer for that integration. Below are details we pulled from the last failure when we tried this process. Again, looking for a solution as the area getting these calls is having their Skype for Business app close out on them multiple times a day. It appears to be related to Windows Updates. Hi Apologies if this has already been asked. We've started using Skype for Business, and a few of us have installed the new Mac client. One problem we have found is whereas inviting external users to a meeting via email is fairly straight forward on a PC, we can't find the equivalent functionality on the Mac client. Is this supported yet, or are we missing something? Many thanksJames WalkerdineNov 07, 2016Copper Contributor42KViews0likes13CommentsHow do I only record my shared desktop screen and not the video feed from other participants?
Hi guys Hopefully I am explaining this right, but when I record a Skype for business meeting, the output looks like the one below. I only want to capture the audio and shared desktop (presentation only). I don't want to have the persons image or video feed on the left. How do I only record the presentation and audio? Is there a way to do this? Thanks DamienSolvedDamien_RosarioOct 31, 2017Silver Contributor11KViews1like13CommentsSkype Room System v3 - wireless Display
we are planning to roll out some SRS to our Meeting Rooms. Actualy we use microsoft wireless display adapter in our rooms to connect to the beamer, now we would like the same functionality on the SRS box. Is there any possibility to use Miracast (like the Windows Connect App) to share a remote screen in SRS? We tried to add a microsoft wireless display adapter to the HDMI In Port of the Logitech Smartdock but it does not work, the display remains blank.
