New Skype for Business on Mac (Insider) build is available!
We have released a new build for Skype for Business for Mac client using Microsoft Auto Update. What’s new in this release? Group management is available for O365 and SfB Server 2016 users (this functionality is not available for Lync Server 2013 users). Users can now: Add/create new contact group Delete a contact group Rename a contact group Users can tag contacts for status change alerts. Ability to add Enterprise Distribution Groups to contacts list New Single Window behavior – if Server Side Conversation History is disabled you will not have the ability to use Single Window Mode. Next Steps From any Office for Mac app, go to Help | Check for Updates. Select “Automatically Check” or “Automatically Download and Install”. Select “Join the Office Insider” program, then select “Office Insider Fast” or “Office Insider Slow” depending how quickly you would like to receive updates. We have released the first Insider Fast build for February. This release includes the following changes; more fixes will be coming in the next Insider build. Features added Joining a meeting without audio When you choose to join a meeting without joining audio, you will see the meeting window with a black background and a notification that you have joined the meeting without audio. Click Rejoin to add audio later. Improvements Fixed several issues that could prevent you from joining a meeting. Fixed a problem with displaying long IM disclaimer text. Added a Don't show this again for this device checkbox to the prompt to switch to the device when a user connects an audio device to the computer Fixed an issue that prevented you from joining meetings from outside of your organization when you clicked to join from the Outlook calendar or reminder.Broken Chat List
I may have posted this in the wrong place yesterday (attached to a version release announcment). Proabalby better as its own post: I have a long standing problem and wonder if others have same problem. In the Chat list (of past chats), chats with the same person get broken up into many small chats, even if they happen on same day and are close togehter. So my chat list looks like: Sally Sally Jim Sally Steve Steve Jim Jim Steve Sally Sally Showing a list of 10 or more chats instead of one per person. Does this happen to everyone? SfB Mac Away status time setting
How can someone change the idle time for the Away status? Is that even available? On the Windows version is under the Status settings, but we don't have that on the Mac. Show me as Inactive when my computer has been idle for this many minutes: Change my status from Inactive to Away after this many minutes:Insider Fast build 16.5.142 with Delegate support is out!
Hi, We have released support for Delegate management for O365 users with the latest Insider Fast build. Supported functionality includes: Users can add delegates to "My Delegates" group in contact group and set call routing preferences to delegates. Delegates can see who has made them a delegate and make calls on behalf of a delegator. Delegates can make calls on behalf of a delegator.
