Uploaded photos to OneDrive not showing location
Not sure if I'm in the right place but I have uploaded my photos from iphone to onedrive and then deleted them. I now realise that the location is not shown when opening OneDrive on my phone. If I look at OneDrive on my computer the information is there although not on every photo. Can anyone help please?2Views0likes0CommentsOneDrive disk 5tb- guest link sharing has stopped working.
Hello. I've been using it for so long and everything worked fine, it worked flawlessly. Now, in a 5TB OneDrive drive, the other day, guest link sharing stopped working. I give all the permissions. (Share with everyone. No login required) I'm creating a link. The participant is trying to open the link. But. They write: Access is prohibited. You do not have permissions to access this resource. And they require you to log in with an account.25Views0likes0CommentsCongratulations, Microsoft products couldn't have been worse even if you tried.
I was thinking why should I bother posting about this, who would read it, and would it make Microsoft any better if someone reads this? But the world would never improve if no one reports this kind of bad design. So here we go. Why make it so hard to sign up for Azure, register an app, set up permissions, register an app in the MDN (whatever the F it stands for), just to be able to connect to build an ETL job that pulls from multi-tenant onedrive. Why so much text everywhere that it becomes unreasonable to read and find information that matters. Why pretend you have an AI called Copilot when it doesn't have access to data and all it does is spit back information from the docs. How to fix this? Put yourself in the shoes of someone new who's integrating Microsoft products for the first time. No assumptions. No required prior knowledge. Less text, straight to the point. No weird error messages with complicated Error IDs. If no one understands them, why bother bloat the limited screen space with it? Why not have an actual AI that can give concrete pointers instead of showing a link to a generic documentation page? This could go on, but I'm gonna practice what I preach and get straight to the point with the suggestions above. The only moat Microsoft has is the heavy corporate contracts that bind stupid corporations to use Microsoft products and services. The moment a new provider with simpler/faster/cheaper services shows up, developers and people working day-to-day with Microsoft services will gladly migrate over. My 2-cent bottle in the sea.29Views0likes0CommentsCan't stop sharing folder (no stop sharing option)
Want to stop sharing a folder, but under -manage access. I only see "share" and the folder is already shared with family and one other person. "Stop sharing" is nowhere to be seen. Why can't I stop sharing this folder? Another bug in Microsoft system again? Cheers Mags12Views0likes0CommentsUploaded files are nowhere to be found
Greetings I installed OneDrive on my computer and changed the default location. I then uploaded 11GB of data by copying and pasting into the OneDrive folder. The copy was successful. When I click on the OneDrive folder the files are there. The issue is that I can't find the newly uploaded files in office 365 OneDrive site under My Files or any other place. Where is the default location of the uploaded files in office 365 OneDrive site? I also checked Sharepoint but still can't find the files. Is there a way to find my 11GB files on Office 365 OneDrive site?17Views0likes0CommentsCan find the copied files
Greetings, I downloaded and installed OneDrive and all went well. We have a office365 Business account which I have an account. After the OneDrive install and authentication, I didn't like the default location of the OneDrive folder on my machine so I unlinked OneDrive and changed the default location from c:\users\administrator to d: in some directory. I then copied 11GB data from one folder to the new location of OneDrive (120K+ files). The speed was amazing! But now when I go to my work office365 cloud site, I can't find those files. I looked in OneDrive and SharePoint but they are nowhere to be found. My local machine OneDrive directory still shows those files in it so they must be in the cloud somewhere. Any ideas where I should look for the files that I uploaded on the office365 cloud site?9Views0likes0CommentsCVE-2024-12797 Openssl High Vulnerability
Hello Microsoft, I´d like to know if there is any status update to address the issue of the CVE-2024-12797 link https://openssl-library.org/news/secadv/20250211.txt since it is being considered as high vulnerability. I use Onedrive for Business version 25.065.0406.0002 which is the latest but according to my Microsoft Vulnerability Management Report, the CVE is not addressed yet. Any update is highly appreciated. Thanks Mirella312Views1like0CommentsMulti-Download always missing files
Is it just me, but is anyone else having missing files when downloading a folder of any sort? I've been trying to download my OneDrive for an offline backup. However, keep on getting zip files with files missing, and the last file is always corrupted. It doesn't happen all the time, but is guarenteed when a folder has many (more than 50) files or you're running multiple downloads in parallel. Short of downloading all files one by one, is there any solutions to this? Or how do I report a bug? --------------------------- I also can't use the OneDrive app as I'm not using Windows, and the app keeps on getting into a corrupted state (on my Windows device) and for some reason always fails to completely sync my files even though it says it's up to date. (There'll be a few files here and there that will have 0x8007016A: The Cloud File Provider Is Not Running or it'll try to open but then stick at arbitary points during the transfer and never complete)18Views0likes0CommentsExternal Sharing in OneDrive and SharePoint
Hello, some users have external sharing permissions. I need to create a rule and policy to track which files they are sharing and with whom. I checked via Purview, an alert came through, but I can't see who the files were shared with, and the main issue is that those users don't have external sharing permissions. We have checked many ways but could not understand what we need to do.39Views0likes0CommentsOne Drive on Mac keeps crashing
Hi, I'm on a Mac version 13.7.2 and I can't upgrade anymore. Recently I was having sync issues with One Drive so I deleted and reinstalled it. It took forever and was trying to sync all the time and using up all my CPU. Today I realised it was off and if I try and open it again, it crashes within seconds. I've updated it and restarted but it hasn't helped. Does anyone have any ideas except reinstalling again? Thanks31Views0likes0CommentsDeleted and reinstalled app to fix issues—now photos from last 3 months are gone
I’ve been having issues with the OneDrive app for iPhone (I have a 16 pro and I’m on the latest iOS and onedrive software update). Last night, I tried deleting and reinstalling the app to see if it would help resolve the issues. Instead, all of my photos from January 25 until now were gone! I haven’t checked my laptop to see if I can see them from a desktop, but I’m freaking out. You can even see that my folders show a much larger number of files based on the size, but I can’t see the photos that should be in the folder. How can I fix this??40Views0likes0CommentsMoving Images between Albums and OneDrive ?
In relation to this post, first OneDrive doesn't start for me as shown in this screen shot. How do I use OneDrive for Business and do what is mentioned in the linked post, when from what I understand I'm not using OneDrive for Business ? And besides I'm working with images, so if someone could give me some clarity on this and how to do what is linked above I would appreciate it.17Views0likes0Commentsone drive doesn't appear to be syncing files to my new PC desktop

I am using on work site Onedrive to access company files. I have Samsung S9 tab in use and I do have Office365 contract. Problem is that I can only open few (PDF) files untill onedrive do not allow me to open more files. If I close app t again works for awhile until problem appears again. Either there is blank screen, The file is opened quickly and then screen goes white blank Or there comes pop up saying "File cannot be opened due to the file is moved or I do no have rights for it" Very annoying problem which prevents me doing my job on site. I have a video clip about the problem here: https://jmp.sh/s/jQ7HKR3DamYmG0AuwYLM42Views0likes0CommentsIssues with One Drive on Mac
Hi Recently One Drive stopped working on my mac with a repeated pop up saying it was broken. I reinstalled it and I'm still having issues. I have around 250gb of files stored in there but most of that is photo back up. I am a freelancer and I have always worked straight out of One Drive folders on my mac, so I know it's backed up in the cloud and I can access it elsewhere if I need to. However since the update and syncing etc it's not working as it was. I don't want to download all of my files to my mac as I only need two folders that contain all the stuff I regularly work on and I don't have space for all of it. I've tried ctrl clicking on these folders to keep them on my device but that then triggers a pop up to say the device couldn't connect to the server. The wifi etc is fine. If I go into One Drive preferences it then says it can't locate my 'Personal' folder (cue panic as this is where all the photos are stored) but when I go online it is all there. Can anyone help me solve this? I had an email recently saying the price of office was going up a LOT recently which I resent as I can't even get this to work as it was. I really don't want to uninstall again if I can help it as One Drive is just trying to sync all the time and using up so much CPU. Thanks Faye92Views0likes0CommentsOne Drive not Automatically Signing In with Email
Hi All, I'm having an issue where I'm trying to get One Drive to automatically log in when a user logs into a Windows 10 laptop using Group Policy. The windows laptops have conditional access configured and are hybrid joined, and I have confirmed when running 'dsregcmd /status' I can see "AzureAdJoined : YES". Through our on-premise GPO I've tried configuring Computer>Admin Templates>OneDrive and enabled and disabled the "Silently Sign in User into OneDrive" - with no luck. I've also tried adding the below registry keys. [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\OneDrive] “SilentAccountConfig”=dword:00000001. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\OneDrive] “EnableADAL”=dword:00000001 – This setting enables Modern Authentication for OneDrive. One thing to note is the on-premise UPN is different to that of the o365 email address used to log into MS apps. I would be very interested to know if anyone has managed to get this type of setup to work? No matter what I try, I find I have to launch One Drive manually and go through the setup screen. I enabled some of the other setting like disabling users from configuration folder location etc. with no luck. Any pointers or past experience dealing with this would be appreciated!137Views1like0CommentsSyncing a virtual partition with OneDrive possible?

I have used OneDrive on my Mac via an external hard drive for several years. After a recent update, It refused to link to my folder on the external hard drive. I decided to link my OneDrive to my iCloud account which seemed to work. Today, a new update to OneDrive won't work now either. These updates keep getting worse. My External drive is encrypted, and case-sensitive and File Vault is on. I would love any suggestions or ideas to get this back to work. All I get is Can not locate the folder in this location, Ugh.26Views0likes0CommentsAutomation: Powershell Force OneDrive to Re Sync if there is a Sync Error noted
I am working for the MSP Lucrasoft, we use an RMM to automate powershell scripts to workdevices to monitor them. We get a lot of "OneDrive for Business, error with syncing" alerts. What I always see is that if OneDrive is restarted (manually) the sync is done again and the error is solved. Do people have a powershell script to "re sync", a script that we can initialize when an alert like this is coming up. So we don't have to manually restart or reïnstall onedrive to solve it41Views0likes0Comments
