KB: Error message when you click "Edit" on the "Company Knowledge" tab in the Operations Manager console

Here’s some information on a new KB article we published. The issue is that when you click Edit on the Company Knowledge tab in the System Center 2012 Operations Manager (OpsMgr 2012) console, you receive one of the following error messages:

- The Visual Studio Tools for Office runtime is not installed.

- Failed to launch Microsoft Word. Please make sure Microsoft Word is installed.

- Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

This issue can occur if you have an unsupported version of Microsoft Office Word installed. For all the details and a resolution please see the following:
