We have started to use MTR in one of our conference rooms. I am not 100% sure that we have the whiteboard enabled properly. But our employees seem to like it.

Thanks Ilya Bukshteyn . Any way you could share the roadmap for MTR that was announced at Ignite? Thanks!

cbright we did announce at the last Microsoft Ignite that we plan to bring support for ink / touch displays to MTR in H1CY19. We are also bringing support for the Microsoft Whiteboard to Microsoft Teams. So Stay tuned for more info on this topic in the next few months.

David Groom Are there any plans to support interactive white boarding on MTR / SRSv2? With the addition of Microsoft Whiteboard to M365 and the advertising of collaboration features across the ecosystem, it seems like this would make sense to be a part of Teams Rooms? We have interactive displays in a number of our conference spaces and would love to be able to incorporate the Teams Room Systems in those.

Nate Mills - Yes, I'm thinking so. However, I won't make the move until I post as such to this blog.

Does that mean that future announcements for MTR version updates will move to the Teams tech community?

Jeff Schertz I'm a long time Microsoftie so I do use TLAs a lot :-) SRS was actually never "official" for Skype Room Systems either, so not sure how "official" MTR is / will be, but its a lot faster to type so I'm sure it will get used a lot.
Ilya Bukshteyn I've noticed you used 'MTR' in your response above, and am wondering if that is just internal shorthand or if that initialism will become officially accepted for Microsoft Teams Room in the way that SRS is used for Skype Room System?
