One of These Things is Not Like the Others: Challenge 6
Today is Presidents Day in the U.S., a day when schools are closed, government offices are closed, and even people who don't officially get the day off often take some vacation time and stay as far away from work as they possibly can.
Trivia Note . Actually, we lied to you: it's not really Presidents Day; officially, there's no such thing as Presidents Day. Instead, the official federal holiday is actually Washington's Birthday, in honor of Gene Washington , former wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers. (Or maybe for George Washington, the first U.S. President. We always get those two mixed-up.) At any rate, although everyone in the U.S. – particularly advertisers – talks about "Presidents Day," there really is no such thing. Believe it or not.
And yes, that worries us, too: after all, if you can't trust advertisers, who can you trust?
But Presidents Day or not, today is a holiday for a great many people in the U.S. of A.; however, it's not a holiday for those of us here at the Lync Server PowerShell blog. (We kept hoping to get a call from President Obama telling us, "Guys, you've already done so much good for the country; why don't you take today off?" but we haven't heard from him yet.) Because of that, we went snooping around the Internet looking for Presidents Day activities. We found a bunch of suggestions, including making your own powdered wig and creating a replica Abraham Lincoln log cabin out of pretzels. And yes, those all sounded like fun but then we realized, "Listen, if you want something done right then you have to do it yourself." And then after that we realized, "Shoot, we still have to come up with a Lync Server PowerShell Challenge for this week." And thus was born the One of These Things is Not Like Others Challenge , special Presidents Day edition! In other words, which of these Lync Server PowerShell cmdlets is not like the others?
