It has been March 2016 since we published an update of whitepaper about SAP workload on SQL Server. As the original whitepaper is more like a book with several hundred pages, we decided to publish an update paper, that includes only the changes to the original document instead of releasing another "book". This cumulative update now includes all the new product releases, new functionalities as well a large section about running SAP on Azure Infrastructure as a Service. It covers SQL Server versions from SQL Server 2008 upward to SQL Server 2019.
We also will work with SAP to get the paper into the SAP Community Network (SCN).
