Who doesn’t have five minutes to catch up on the latest trends in the Web? Lucky for us, the Web Developer Advocacy team just debuted a web and cloud show called 5 Things , a quirky series in which Open Source leaders explore - you guessed it - five things about a cool technology every week.
The episodes are hosted interchangeably by John Papa and Burke Holland from Azure’s Cloud Developer Advocates team . For five minutes, viewers get spoiled with plenty of jokes, eccentrics graphics, funny accents - and of course, all the new tech knowledge they crave.
In this first episode, John meets with Angular contributor and MVP Ward Bell . Once they get the introductions over with - and Vivaldi’s violin concerto nicely fades into the background - the two delve into one of the hottest OSS tools today: something called RxJS. According to Ward, RxJS is a data tool “for reasoning about streams of change.” Kind of like lego for events, he says.
Intrigued? Check out the episode to learn more about RxJS, what you can do with it, and how your projects can benefit. Watch ‘til the end, and you’ll also see Ward and John hug it out. See the new episode here !
