We have been busy working on new improvements for you, and we are happy to announce that they are now being rolled out globally. You should start seeing these changes in Intune standalone shortly. Some of the new improvements in this release include:
  • PIN length for MAM-enabled apps: You can now specify the length of the PIN for MAM-enabled mobile apps similar to a device PIN. This will require end users to comply with the new restrictions you set. They will also see a slightly modified PIN screen to account for the longer input.
  • MAM without enrollment for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint apps on Android: In addition to Outlook and OneDrive apps on Android, you can now target Word, Excel, and PowerPoint apps with MAM without enrollment policies.
These improvements are also available for customers using System Center Configuration Manager integrated with Intune (hybrid). Visit What’s New in Microsoft Intune or What’s New in Hybrid pages for more details on these and other recent developments. At SAPPHIRE NOW , we announced the preview of integration between SAP Fiori Mobile and Intune App SDK. Customers can now build custom hybrid mobile SAP Fiori apps that are automatically enlightened with our SDK. Please read the announcement blog post for more details. In addition, Microsoft made a number of significant announcements at Citrix Synergy to help our customers accelerate their digital transformation. These announcements include important developments for Intune and EMS customers such as the integration of Citrix mobile apps (including Worx and Receiver) with Intune App SDK and Azure AD, integration of NetScaler with EMS to provide conditional access, and more. Please read the announcement blog post for more details. You can view the summary of the announcements above in our latest Endpoint Zone episode with Brad Anderson and Simon May.
