Interaction and engagement are crucial for capturing the attention and interest of your audience. That's why we are excited to introduce Microsoft Forms' live presentation capabilities, offering a new way to share your forms or quizzes in any online or in-person event. With just a QR scan or short URL, audiences can participate in live surveys and view real-time responses. Let's explore how it works. (Note: for the latest live presentation experience, you can check this blog Improved Experience for Real-Time Form & Quiz Responses - Microsoft Community Hub)
Present mode
By simply clicking on the "present" icon located in the top right corner, you enter the interactive present.
“Present” icon in the top right corner
Once in present mode, a QR code and a shorter URL linked to the survey will be displayed on the right side of your form/quiz. This serves as a gateway for responders to access the form using their smartphones. All they need to do is to scan the QR code with their phone's camera or a QR code scanning app, and they will be instantly directed to the form.

Dynamic real-time results
In the present mode, there is no need to navigate back to the response page to check the answers since they are visible on the question. When new responses come in the result will dynamically update to reflect the latest information.
All responses are saved in the “response” tab once you exit the present mode and enter editing mode.

Permission control
Present mode will respect the permission settings at the forms/quiz level but we suggest selecting “Anyone can respond” if you have an external audience or want to capture the most data. Switching to the other two permission modes will require respondents to sign-in to a Microsoft account.

What’s next
In parallel, we are upgrading the Forms PowerPoint add-on experience to include the present mode so you can stay in the flow without opening another browser and jumping across screens. Stay tuned for present in PowerPoint - coming soon!
