Sometimes you want to get a task done quickly, and detailed documentation can be a bit overwhelming with all the rich information. That's why we're proud to announce the release of step-by-step guides! These guides are there to help you with common tasks across the product in a flash, with the minimum information & clicks needed, reducing the time needed by your admins to secure your enterprise.

Let's say you've just got Microsoft Defender for Office 365, you want to get protected as quickly as possible using our Preset security policies?

Perhaps you want to take advantage of our additional protection designed for members of your c-suite?

What about Attack simulation training, how do you set up a new simulation quickly and easily? or perhaps you want to configure simulations to be automated for you?

Perhaps you want to connect Microsoft Defender for Office 365 to Sentinel.

All the new documentation in this format can be found under the step-by-step navigation item in Microsoft Defender for Office 365 Docs, we are going to be adding loads of topics over the coming months, so keep checking back, or alternatively you can visit the docs by using aka.ms/step-by-step

Most importantly, these docs are here to empower you, if there's a topic, task or config you'd like to see in this format, please let us know in the comments.

Thank you!

This is one of those things when you see it in retrospect feels really obvious. Rather than having to hunt all over the place put all the action items in one place and just walk through them step by step. More of this please!!

    Great initiative Ben_Harris!

MS docs/blogs can sometimes be abit of a minefield when there is so much to rattle through.

The step-by-step guides will also helps us IT Admins with documenting things in the likes of CR’s, Rapid KBA’s, BCG’s, etc quicker 🙂
