Today, we are super proud to announce the general availability of our new in-product guidance, which is an evolution of the step-by-step guides documentation. (aka.ms/step-by-step)
We believe in providing you the tools to become a security operations hero. This guidance is designed to help you ramp up on a feature within Microsoft Defender in a matter of minutes, while also providing all the key information you need to be successful.
The key button to look out for is on the top right, labeled: "Learn More" as shown below in the animated demo.

On some pages, you will find the experience pops out automatically for you on first visit to get you started even quicker.
So, without further ado, the three places to go test out the new experience & learn about the feature are:
- Preset security policies
- User tags / Priority account protection
- Email Entity (You'll need to pick an email from Explorer or Real-time detections for this one, the learn more button is rolling out and will be available in every tenant by the end of the week!
)
As we continue expanding in-product guidance across Microsoft Defender, we would love your feedback on the content, along with what areas within Microsoft Defender you would like to see get this new experience.
