Also added a link to our post about support for the Windows 10 branches with Configuration Manager.] Today at a Microsoft event in San Francisco, the Windows team shared new details on the future of Windows in the enterprise, with a first look at Windows 10. Aligned with this announcement , we’d like to begin sharing more of our high level direction for Windows 10 management with System Center Configuration Manager and Windows Intune . And in addition share early information on our Configuration Manager support for the next version of Windows Server . Windows 10 will be delivered in a way that allows for more choice and flexibility for businesses. Businesses will be able to opt-in to the fast-moving consumer pace, or lock-down mission critical environments that require only security updates and fixes. In alignment with these changes for Windows 10, the next version of Configuration Manager will be more easily updatable to support each of these Windows 10 updates. At the same time we also recognize that not all of our customers will immediately upgrade to this next version of Configuration Manager so for this reason we will provide support across previous versions. This will be in the form of SP2 for System Center 2012 Configuration Manager and SP1 for System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager.
