Our friends over at Dell recently blogged about the Dell PowerEdge VRTX platform delivering a first class Microsoft VDI solution for 250 or 500 users. This was followed up with a more detailed post . This shows how Windows 8 VM’s provide a 66% increase in density on a PowerEdge TM R720 server including up to 75 RemoteFX vGPU enabled users. Dell has also provided a 10 user trial kit .
Remote Desktop Services in Windows Server 2012 and Windows Server 2012 R2 provides a simple deployment and management console for hundreds of users and we are excited to see the complete solutions Dell and other partners are launching using Microsoft VDI powered by Remote Desktop Services.
