Howdy folks, (Note: This blog post is an edit/update of a post from earlier today that accidentally contained incorrect data.) Amazing news to share today! As of yesterday, more than 100,000 customers are synching their on-premises Windows Server AD to Azure AD. No, that is not a typo – 100,000 customers! And 99% of these customers are using Azure AD Connect or one of its predecessor products (AAD Sync, DirSync, etc.). (In case you are curious – 45k are using Azure AD Connect, 46K are using DirSync, 7.5K are using Azure AD Sync and just over 500 are using Microsoft Identity Manager or FIM. The remaining 1% are using other solutions) . When Azure AD Connect in June 2015 (less than a year ago!) we never even dreamed we'd reach 100k customers (double the number from this time last year) syncing in less than a year or that 45k customers would adopt the solution this quickly.
