Using File Server Resource Manager (FSRM) on a server cluster

A frequent question among our FSRM users is how to set FSRM quotas on a server cluster. Georgi Matev, the FSRM PM, responds:

Configuring a quota on a folder must be done on the node that currently owns the volume on which the folder is located. Once configured, the quota will automatically move with the volumes as it fails over (no admin intervention is required). The reason why this is possible is that quota metadata is stored in a metadata file on each volume under the System Volume Information folder. Quota templates are global configuration and could be configured from any one node. This information is stored in the cluster database, which is registry based.
