Q: I have servers in different parts of Latin America, should I apply DST patches to all servers that will not be affected by DST?
A: To insure standardization across your environment, we recommend that you apply the patches everywhere. However, there's no technical requirement to do so. The main reason for this recommendation is so that any applications that leverage time zone information for scheduling operate in the same way on all machines. This is critically important for Exchange servers that may occasionally service users from affected time zones.
