Welcome to another Azure Content Spotlight! These articles are used to highlight items in Azure that could be more visible to the Azure community.

This week's Azure Content Spotlight is highlighting several great new features developed by the Azure Media Services team.  The Azure Media Analytics preview was announced at the NAB Show 2016 and it offers features to help organizations extract meaning from video content.  This can take several forms from detecting inappropriate content to facial recognition to extracting text using OCR features.  You can read more about it in NAB Show 2016: Introducing Azure Media Analytics for powerful video intelligence .

The Content Moderator service provides a mechanism to apply rules to detect specific attributes within video media content. A specific application could be an organization using Content Moderator to detect adult content from being uploaded.  Take a look at Greg Clark's Announcing Content Moderator on Azure Media Analytics .

The Face Detection and Emotion Detection features can be used to track human faces within a video!  Take a look at Richard Li's post Announcing face and emotion detection for Azure Media Analytics for an explanation and example.

Another feature is the ability to extract text from video content providing a powerful mechanism for extracting metadata. Adarsh Soanki explains the Azure Media Processor in Announcing Video OCR Private Preview on Azure Media Analytics .

Great stuff!
