Hi, Ned here again. We have put up a new(ish) KB article that will allow you to always see the latest recommended hotfixes for DFSR and DFSN. I also updated the ever popular 'Top 10 Common Causes of Slow Replication with DFSR ' blog post to reflect this, and I hope you make this a favorite going forward.
KB958802 - List of currently available hotfixes for Distributed File System (DFS) technologies in Windows Server 2003 R2
We still have a couple edits pending check-in for this KB, but at any time this is officially the latest binary goo.
For the (excellent) questions of:
1. Can these start being distributed through Windows Update?
2. Can DFSR itself tell me that I should use newer versions?
... I have no comment. Windows Server 2008 R2 development has all hands on deck right now of course, so please bear with us.
