Ned here. The gentle giants of the DFSR development team have posted a new step-by-step guide to configuring true read-only (one-way) replication in Windows Server 2008 R2 (aka Windows 7). As you probably know by now, this marks the first time DFSR supports this mechanism natively, through the use of a filter driver and fancy automagical topology shenanigans. Check it out:
